Information For Indian Tourist To Visit BHUTAN
 
Bhutan is one of the most isolated and least developed nations in the world. Nonetheless, survey data from the country suggest it is also one of the happiest. Nestled in the foreboding Himalayan Mountains, Bhutan is a landlocked Kingdom situated in South Central Asia, bordering Tibet and the Indian states  of Sikkim, West Bengal, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Known as the Land of the Thunder Dragon, visiting Bhutan offers a truly authentic experience with a culture that has been relatively untouched by outside influence.  With towering mountains, intricate architecture, welcoming people and a philosophy steeped in the Buddhism, visitors are guaranteed the experience of a lifetime.
 
Day01 -On arrival at N.J.P.
Station or Bagdogra or Phuntsholing you will be received by our Professional representative with a traditional welcome and proceed for Phuentsholing (980 ft./142 km/3 hours), through the lush green as well as most beautiful Tea garden in Douars.On arrival at Phuentsholing, process for immigration permit and drive to Thimphu (7875 ft./170km/7 hours) your journey on the way we will reach the highest point of about 2800m/9,185ft. Before reaching Thimphu again we will stop for few mins and check in at hotel and over night stay in Thimphu.
 
Day 02-Thimphu Sightseeing Tour:
Today after Breakfast Visit Tashichhodzong, the main secretariat building which houses the throne room of his Majesty, the King and also the summer residence Je Khenpo (Chief Abbot) as well as the central monk body. Visit National Library for extensive collection of Buddhist literature. Visit Zorig Chusum (commonly known as printing school for traditional art & crafts of Bhutan) Visit National Institute of Traditional Medicine (out side only) Proceed for National Memorial Chorten, a huge stupa built in memory of the third King who reigned from 1952-1972. Visit Handicraft Emporiam and craft shop also visit Folk Heritage & National Textile Museum. Night halt at Thimphu.
 
 
 
 
 
 
   
Day03- Thimphu to Punakha: After breakfast drive over Dochu-la-pass (10,130ft.) to Punakha, The capital of Royal Bhutan till 1955, visit Punakha Dzong, the dzong straddles the confluence of two river and resembles a giant battleship. Its full name is “ Punthang Dechen Phodrang” or palace of Great Happiness” and walk around Punakha valley. Over night at Punakha.
 
Day04- Punakha- Paro:
On arrival at Paro check in into the premium hotel in Paro Valley and drive for sightseeing visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the Royal Kingdom. Visit Ta Dzong; once a watchtower built to defend Rinpung Dzong during inter valley war of the 17th. Century, which was inaugurated as Bhutan’s national museum in 1968. Visit Rinpung Dzong .A flagstone path raises gradually from a wonderful wooden bridge with shingle roofing and abutted by two guardhouses, to the dzong. Today, The Dzong is the seat of district administration as well as the home for the monastic school. Also know its incredible history. Over night stay in Paro.
 
Day05- Hike to Tiger Nest:
Excursion to Taktsang Monastery
after an early breakfast, drive back to Paro for a short trek to Taktsang Monastery (10 km) from Paro Town. The name Taktsang means “Tiger’s Nest’. The monastery is perched on a rocky ledge with a sheer drop of nearly 800 mtrs. It is said that in the second half of the 8th century, Guru Padma Sambbava alighted here upon the back of a tigress. Picnic Lunch at Taktsang cafeteria. The round trip hike takes about 4hrs.Evening: casual stroll through Paro Town for shopping or visit some village homes.
 
Day 06 Paro - Phutsholing – NJP:
Paro- Phentsholing –: After early breakfast embarks for Phentsholing (7 hours). Phentsholing– N.J.P.Station / IXB Bagdogra Airport for Delhi / Onward Destination. Today is the farewell day of your magnificent tour so do spare few minute of your valuable time and write to tell us how much you enjoyed the tour. After break fast with many wonderful memories to IXB Bagdogra airport / New Jalpaiguri. Station (4 hour) for Delhi / Onward Destination.
 
Please note for Indian Nationals, Visa is not required. They will be given permit at the immigration point for which they will require 2 passport sized photographs and identification (like passport or voters ID)
